Armed with nearly 200 acres, State Fair Park is able to accommodate parties, activities, meetings and much more. Home to the Exposition Center, the Tommy G. Thompson Youth Center, the Milwaukee Mile Speedway, and the Products Pavilion, the park is home to State Fair and hosts many entertainment or business events.

Maker Faire Milwaukee

Maker Faire Milwaukee, is a family-friendly event that welcomes makers – tech enthusiasts, artist, inventors, crafters, educators, tinkerers and hobbyists of all ages – to exhibit their work and share their knowledge and skills with other makers and with the community. Maker Faire also showcases the Maker Movement, a growing global community of do-it-yourself that is pushing the boundaries of creativity, product development and manufacturing through technology, innovation and entrepreneurship. Over 100 makers will be featured at Maker Faire Milwaukee along with family-friendly activities, hands-on experiments, crafts for maker of all ages, and opportunities to work with tools and technology.

Trainfest

Join 20,000 families and model train hobbyists for enormous fun and endless discovery at Trainfest®, America’s largest operating model railroad show. Spend hours entertained by 70 intricately-detailed running railroads. Kids’ highlights include the Betty Brinn Let’s Play Railway, train tables, make n take activity and the Jr. Engineer Program. Rounding out this spectacular show are model train manufacturers, historic railroads displays and retailers from coast-to-coast. Trainfest has something for everyone in its 200,000 square feet of display area. Visit www.trainfest.com for details. Discounted advanced tickets are available at many hobby shops and online through Nov. 8. Tickets are also available online day of and at the door for $15 per adult and $5 per child, ages 4 to 12.
