Who do we have to talk to at Fiserv Forum to make this a pregame warmup mainstay? (PHOTO: Dan Garcia)

Get your (Greek) freak on with local musician's ode "Stay Freaky, Giannis"

As Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to write his legend on the court – 31 points, 15 rebounds, five assists in yesterdays' home win; just another Monday – it was only a matter of time before Milwaukee musicians began to write odes to his Euro-stepping, MVP front-running ways.

Enter local musician Justin Jagler, who mashed up Giannis' particular style of play with his own particular genre of music – something he calls "fan folk" – and created the plucky anthem "Stay Freaky, Giannis."

The song – which is currently available for listening on Soundcloud – swoons about "a baller from Greece ... tall mo-fo, seven feet" who's a freak "on the court and in the sheets." Oh boy. All through lyrics like those and swarthy guitar plucks, the background coos "Stay freaky" during the verses before taking over the chorus. Not sure if Giannis would rank this delightfully corny tune above his shoutout from Lil Wayne from last year's "Big Bad Wolf," but it's still something! And if anybody could enjoy some cornball goofiness, it's a superstar who can bust out a mean Bieber impression.

The song will officially drop on Jagler's website and Soundcloud on Thursday, Jan. 24, while the singer-songwriter will almost surely perform the tune live during his upcoming shows at Lucky Joe's in Tosa (Jan. 24), Landmark Lanes (Jan. 26) and Bremen Cafe (Feb. 1). Also, who do we have to talk to at Fiserv Forum to make this a pregame warmup mainstay?
