Turns out new Brewers infielder Jedd Gyorko isn't just good at baseball.

Things still suck, so here's new Brewer Jedd Gyorko doing cornhole trick shots

In a better timeline, we'd be watching new Milwaukee Brewers infielder Jedd Gyorko hit home runs and make critical throws from third base. Unfortunately, we're currently living in the worst timeline, so Gyorko hitting cornhole trick shots and making impressive throws from across his living room will have to do.

The newly signed Brewer has been passing the time during this shutdown by posting a collection of very impressive bag toss trick shots to his Twitter account, starting with a move I'm going to call "The Double Play" on April 9.

Gyorko then followed that up the next day with a behind-the-back, no-look swish – complete with a celebratory chugged mug of beer. Because what better way for a former St. Louis Cardinals player to endear himself to the Brew Crew fanbase than by knocking back a beer and proving his worth at tailgate games.

He then topped it all off a few days later on Milwaukee Day with an over-the-walkway bag toss that I have dubbed "The Moonshot," complete with a cheering crowd.

The inspiration for this bag toss bonanza?

"I tell you what: I've just been really bored," Gyorko told WISN's Stephen Watson in a recent interview. "I needed a break from trying to teach my kids kindergarten and kinda take a step back and have a little fun."

Thankfully, that fun's been contagious – and even better, so has the cornhole craze as Gyorko's former St. Louis Cardinals teammate Kolten Wong has gotten in on the action, set to take on his now NL Central rival in a bag toss battle over Instagram Live on Friday night at 5 p.m. Right now, it's closest thing we've got to watching the Brewers take on the Cardinals – and the closest thing we've got to competitive sports, period – so congratulations to my new favorite Brewer for making it happen, entertaining fans even off the diamond and for making the worst timeline seem at least a little better.
