Are these the cream of the crop? (PHOTO: Twitter/Etienne Catalan)

Another new Bucks alternate jersey leaked - and it looks pretty cool

The Brewers aren't the only ones showing off a new look today, as the Bucks' "City Edition" alternate uniform has allegedly leaked to Twitter.

In a now-deleted tweet, NBA uniform enthusiast Etienne Catalan revealed the team's supposed final new look for the 2019-20 season. And bad news for those hoping for another trip blast to Milwaukee sports history's past, as it's instead a completely new cream-heavy look – complete with "Cream City" emblazoned on the front.

If this is the Bucks' "City Edition" jersey, it's a pretty solid look on first impression. Giving some of the less overdone colors in the team's scheme – blue and cream – the spotlight is a refreshing change of pace. (The team did wear cream for its "City Edition" uniforms in 2017-18, though with the Bucks logo on the front instead of the nickname.) The block cursive font is also pretty cool ... if reminiscent of the Brewers' freshly revealed navy blue road alternates, which makes it feel a little less exciting. In general, though, the new uniform is a satisfyingly simple and different look for the team – one that's definitely not as, uh, let's politely say "polarizing" as last year's MECCA-inspired jerseys.

It's still an "if" on whether or not these are the actual Bucks' final alternates; Catalan deleted the original photo and post, which makes you suspicious if he got word that these aren't legit. At the same time, however, uniform expert Chris Creamer ran with the uniform on his site, and he rarely gets duped and almost always gets confirmation before rolling with a leak. So maybe this is legit – which, in that case, get used to having to ward off a bunch of NSFW jokes from very mature NBA fans outside Milwaukee while explaining that yes, Cream City is actually the city's nickname, a reference to the iconic cream-colored bricks that were used to build much of Milwaukee's early architecture.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for the official reveal of the team's "City Edition" uniforms for this season – and apparently pour one out for my hopes of seeing the purple-and-green throwbacks on the court this season.
