Steinhafels: What's old is new again in Greenfield

Editor's note: The following sponsored content was provided by Steinhafels.

Anyone who lives in the Greenfield area has been seeing a lot of activity going on in the 84th and Layton area for a few years now. The NEW Steinhafels Furniture and Mattress is excited to be one of the stores at the center of the action!

The 84South shopping complex is still under development, but Steinhafels is now open for business. (We officially Grand Opened on Black Friday!) We're ready to welcome customers to our "new look" store – just a couple hundred feet behind our old store on Layton Avenue. While it's sad to say goodbye to one of our company's oldest stores (1970), it's exciting to begin this new chapter.

Marketing Director Dirk Stallmann says this project has been years in the making. "For many years, we had a vision that this area would get redeveloped, and it happened on behalf of Cobalt Partners, and they have been fantastic to work with – they really made it happen for us. It's great to be part of something exciting, and probably some of the biggest retail news on the south end of Milwaukee – it's just been a fantastic ride for us."

Zone Manager Kelly Lederhaus adds, "It's great to have so much energy in the store and excitement in the store, and with this being our brand new store, we can finally give that customer experience that Steinhafels is known for."

We are committed to the future, and we're constantly looking for the best opportunities to grow our business. Our Greenfield store has always thrived, but we knew it was time for an update. This new store offers 50,000 square feet of retail space, which is about the same as the old store, but the new space has a more open, streamlined feel. The exposed ceilings and vast array of windows give it the true feeling of a home.

Being smaller than our superstores, this store combines a modern, sleek design with the warmth and comfort our stores are known for.

Display Lead Jean White has been with the company more than 20 years and is giddy with the excitement of having a new store to play with! "It's very open. It's probably one of our more open stores, because it has the high ceilings, but the thing I think is remarkable, it still has the warmth. That was a thing that customers responded to with our old store. I still feel it's a really warm store, and the lighting is also spectacular. I feel you get more true colors with the windows on the case goods and upholstery."

The new space also includes a 4,500 square foot outdoor patio area and a dedicated section for our interior design service, Decorating Solutions, that features unique glass-wall rooms for designers to present their ideas to clients.

OnMilwaukee's Carolynn Buser recently had a chance to check out the new consult rooms, and get a behind the scenes look at 3-D design, during a Facebook Live with Interior Designer Brittany Holey. Check it out:

The Greenfield re-opening comes just a few months after our superstore opening event on Madison's east side. The two projects go hand in hand to show our commitment to the future, and to help Steinhafels remain the top furniture retailer in the state!
