A couple months ago, we introduced you to our new Steinhafels 2.0 videos. They take a closer look at our interior design projects and the talented designers behind the beautiful pictures you see on our Decorating Solutions Before and After webpage.
This month, we look at one of Julie Thompson's recent projects. Julie is based in our Waukesha corporate store, and her design career has spanned more than 25 years. She says she loves that interior design is an ever-changing field!
You can check out Julie's 2.0 video below:
This specific project was part of the Home Remodeling Show in Milwaukee. The project was already in progress, but Julie was asked to come in and help with furniture selection, window treatments and accessories.
The focus was on the first floor. Julie recalls, "In the living room, we were able to just make it a little more elegant. There's no TV, so it's just a room for quiet, reading."
The design started with a pillow fabric, and from there, Julie selected the rug and then the chair fabric to pull it all together.
Like all design projects, the end result was rewarding. Julie says with a smile, "This was just so much fun because I stopped by the house to help with just a couple more accessory placements, and they both greeted me at the door, and they were like, 'We can't wait for you to see it, we're so excited!' So that just makes you feel really good."
Here's a closer look at the Steinhafels pieces Julie used to help bring this project to life!
