Summerfest 50 offers $5 tickets for Throwback Thursday

The bad news: Summerfest's first ticket deal for Throwback Thursday – where festival-goers could nab four free Big Gig Tickets, valid on June 29 from noon until 6 p.m., for every $50 they spent at one of the grocery store chain's locations – ended yesterday. The good news: Summerfest isn't done with getting you in the gates on Thursday, June 29, for a steal.

This morning, the Big Gig announced that it will offer Throwback Thursday admission tickets for just $5 – also valid from noon until 6 p.m. on June 29. The special discounted tickets are available now at Summerfest's website.

The deals aren't done when you get through the gates either. As previously announced, all beverages – except for ice cream drinks and smoothies – will also be 50 percent off from noon until 6 p.m. while you take in throwback acts including Tommy Tutone, Foghat, Fishbone, Soul Asylum and other early evening performers from the past.

For more evidence that it's pretty much impossible to pay full price for a Summerfest general admission ticket, visit the full list of 2017 admission promos and offers. And stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more previews, reviews, announcements and other fun Big Gig adventures, as we're officially only two weeks away from Summerfest 50, running June 28 through July 9 with an off-day on July 3.
