Ivy House's own State Fair boasts Old Fashioned cocktail cream puffs
If you're panicked about losing the State Fair, The Ivy House, 906 S. Barclay St., where Walker's Point meets the Harbor District, has got you covered.
The venue will serve drinks, classic fair food and live music in its Fernweh outdoor patio and adjacent parking lot during its own week-long The Taste of State Fair outdoor event.
The Taste of State Fair will take place Thursday, Aug. 6-Saturday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 9, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; and Monday, Aug. 10-Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
There will be mini donuts, fresh-squeezed lemonade, gourmet stuffed tater tots, roasted corn, deep fried cheese curds, loaded baked potatoes, giant pickles on a stick, wings and, of course, cream puffs.
There will be both classic and Old Fashioned cocktail cream puffs, which can also be pre-ordered for pickup during the festival in three-, six-, 12- and 24-packs.
A full list of vendors will be announced soon on The Ivy House's social media accounts.
Admission is free, but in order to facilitate social distancing, admission will be limited, you must RSVP to reserve a spot. Face masks will be required by law and there will be sanitation stations throughout the grounds.
