Summer Soulstice Music Festival announces 2017 lineup

It may not look like it outside, but summer is around the corner – and that means summer music festival season is on its way too. We've already seen most of the big acts Summerfest and State Fair have planned, and now it's Summer Soulstice's turn.

This afternoon, the Summer Soulstice Music Festival – in its 17th year – announced its lineup of outstanding local music for its upcoming 2017 edition, hosted on East North Avenue and Murray Avenue from noon until midnight on Saturday, June 24. This year's schedule features 18 Milwaukee bands and musicians spread across three East Side stages – and here they are:

East Side

3:45 p.m.: School of Rock
5 p.m.: Luxi
6:15 p.m.: Vincent VanGreat
7:30 p.m.: Whips
8:45 p.m.: Lex Allen
10 p.m.: Webster X

West Side

3:30 p.m.: Negative Positive
4:45 p.m.: B~Free
6 p.m.: Shoot Down The Moon
7:15 p.m.: The Pukes
8:30 p.m.: The Fatty Acids
9:45 p.m.: De La Buena

Murray Stage

3:15 p.m.: Amanda Huff
4:30 p.m.: Mouse Corn
5:45 p.m.: Mariella Allschwang & The Visitations
7 p.m.: Painted Caves
8:15 p.m.: Antler House
9:30 p.m. Midwest Death Rattle

In addition to the day-long schedule of live music, Summer Soulstice will feature a Waxwing-curated arts and crafts market from noon until 6 p.m.; a food court featuring fair food, local vendors and small plates; a BMX stunt show; a rock wall from Adventure Rock; and yoga poses at 10 a.m. to calmly kick off the day.
