"Fa-la-la-la-colla" collecting collars so Humane Society dogs can go on walks
If you're feeling festive, fortunate and like helping our four-legged friends in need – this is the holiday drive for you. OnMilwaukee's "Fa-la-la-la-colla" drive aims to get 500 much-needed collars (and leashes!) to the Wisconsin Humane Society this holiday season – with your help.
"Both inside the shelter and out, collars are crucial for safely walking dogs, carrying their identification, and are vital to a speedy reunion if an animal does ever run off. WHS finds homes for 13,000 animals each year, so every collar and leash donated is a big help to reduce costs for our organization and allows us to focus our funds on other vital needs," says WHS event coordinator, Ruadhan Ward.
It's super easy to contribute to this Fido-friendly fundraiser, just click on one of these links to purchase a $5 collar or a leash and it will automatically go to the Wisconsin Humane Society.
"Every year, OnMilwaukee creates a fun and meaningful holiday fundraising campaign. This is our first year focusing our efforts on animals and we're super stoked about it," says Molly Snyder, OnMilwaukee senior writer and "Fa-la-la-la-colla" campaign organizer.
