Intersection mural aims to slow traffic, beautify community

After months of planning and a week of preparation, community members and students from the Hopkins-Lloyd Community Learning Center painted an intersection mural in one day. According to a report from Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service, it is located in the intersection of 15th and Hadley Streets, outside Hopkins-Lloyd Community School, an elementary school at 1503 W. Hopkins St.


Menomonee Valley park builds bridges to rolling urban green space

The new Three Bridges Park, which stretches from Mitchell Park on the east to the Urban Ecology Center at 37th Street on the west, is a 24-acre green space with lots of river access and plenty of rolling hills - man-made kettles, eskers and kames hills. It is due to open on July 20.
