In my City of Milwaukee neighborhood, I've noticed that Department of Public Works crews have been out painting fire hydrants. Some of them have been getting green tops. I didn't know why. So, I asked.

Today, as the Brewers prepare to put out the Dodgers' fire in the opening game of the 2018 National League Championship Series at Miller Park, Mayor Tom Barrett unveiled a Brewers-themed fire hydrant in front of City Hall.

Who knew? DASANI uses Milwaukee water

Just when I thought I knew everything about Milwaukee, I stumbled upon a fun fact the other day. DASANI, the bottled water produced by Coca-Cola, uses good old Milwaukee tap water for the Midwest distribution of its product.

Mmmmmm, chlorine

Over the past few days I've noticed a chlorine-y odor coming out of the taps at home and this morning when I turned on the shower it really hit me. It's been happening quite a bit lately but no one else here at OnMilwaukee.com has experienced it and the office taps don't offer the wading pool atmosphere.
