If anyone serves up a great veggie burger, I'd expect it to be a restaurant dedicated to plant-based fare. Fortunately, a growing number of eateries catering to the veg-set have cropped up over the past five or so years, so there were a number from which to choose. On this trip, I chose Urban Beets, a venue which opened its first location in 2015.
Starting this weekend, Urban Beets will offer a brunch menu on weekends. The new menu features something for everyone, from Urban Beets favorites to a variety of new dishes, each of which offers a healthful take on familiar, comforting staples.
Since early this spring, crews have been hard at work bringing the second location of Urban Beets to fruition in the Mayfair Health & Professional Building. And the cafe softly opened its doors today, inviting a small crowd of West-siders to experience the beauty of its plant-based cuisine.
As someone who is allergic to dairy and somehow surviving in the cheese state of Wisconsin, I have been on a quest to find a pizza that satisfies my cravings. Per my excitement, Urban Beets Cafe & Juicery came to the rescue.
A Wauwatosa location for Urban Beets Cafe & Juicery, the popular plant-based cafe and juice bar, is in the works. The cafe, founded by Dawn Balistreri in 2015, features an extensive menu of healthful options including juices, smoothies and more.
