St. Nick's: a merry Milwaukee tradition

The observance of St. Nicholas Day - often just called "St. Nick's" - lands on the short list of primarily-in-Milwaukee occurrences like Bloody Mary chasers, candy raisins and the word "bubbler." It takes place tomorrow night!


Pickle ornaments: got one?

Hanging a pickle-shaped ornament on the Christmas tree is a tradition for many Milwaukee families. Like St. Nick, it is rooted in a German tradition and because we have such a large German population in Milwaukee, it has been absorbed as a Brew City tradition, as well.


Social Circle: Is celebrating St. Nick overkill?
