For the second year in a row, The Riverwest 24 -- Milwaukee's only 24-hour bike race -- rolls through Riverwest. The event takes place this Friday, July 24 at 7 p.m. and continues until Saturday evening. This year, a jazz band will play a 24-hour set to support the riders.
Last year, a group of volunteers organized the city's first 24-hour bicycle race called the RW24 ("Riverwest 24.") The event went without a hitch, so earlier this week the group announced plans to host the second annual race on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25.
