When Jeno and Lorenzo Cataldo purchased the Mimma's Cafe property last fall, there was much speculation about what was coming to the space. According to information gleaned this afternoon, the restaurant is slated to reopen sometime this spring as Dorsia.

The new owners of the Brady Street building that houses Mimma's met with the restaurant operator, Girolama "Mimma" Megna, and asked her what she wanted to do with the 28-year-old restaurant. Mimma has decided to retire and the future of the space is under consideration.


Jo-Cat's Pub owners purchase Mimma's building

Jeno and Lorenzo Cataldo, the owners of Jo-Cats Pub, 1113 E. Brady St., bought the building next door that houses Mimma's. The future of the Italian restaurant, which opened in 1988, is yet to be determined.
