You really can't miss the place if you pass by. And if you've seen the 1888 Second Empire building with the mansard roof at 419 W. Vliet St. in the Haymarket -- it's painted blue -- you'd definitely remember. Built in 1888 by William P. Froehlich as a paper warehouse, a new plan would convert it quickly to a hotel.

Nordic-inspired Dorr Hotel expected to break ground in Door County soon

The Dörr Hotel, designed inside and out by Chicago-based Zimmerman Weintraub Associates (ZWA), will offer views across Lake Michigan's Green Bay, and 11 of the first-floor rooms will include private patios with access paths leading down to the water. Groundbreaking is expected next year.
