Most Wednesday nights during the summer, there's music at the beautiful art deco bandshell in Washington Park, thanks to a series curated by Washington Park Neighbors association, which for the past four years has rekindled a longstanding tradition in the park, one that embraces live music to build community.

Heavy winds down a landmark Lake Park tree

Driving around Milwaukee on Sunday morning, there were a lot of tree branches, large and small, to be seen, victims of heavy winds the day before, when our first snowflakes appeared, too. The worst victim I've heard about so far was along the path in Lake Park that runs along Lake Drive on the upper East Side.

Important meeting set to discuss the future of Lake Park Bridge

A public information meeting on the future of the Ferry & Clas-designed Lake Park Ravine Road footbridge has been set for Tuesday, July 19 at 5 p.m. in the meeting room beneath Lake Park Bistro. Testimony will be heard from the community.
