Ever since touring in support of the group's biggest album "The Living Years" in 1989, Mike + the Mechanics - a rock group founded by Genesis founding member Mike Rutherford - has stayed over in Europe. That changes this week, as Rutherford and company come to Milwaukee, along with Milwaukee-born Genesis/Phil Collins guitarist Daryl Stuermer as their special guest, for a show Thursday, March 19 at The Pabst Theater.

Tanin looks back with "Natural Selection"

Best known among Milwaukee musicians these days as one of the city's top mastering engineers, Gary Tanin is also a veteran local musician, songwriter and producer and his list of credits is a long one. In recent years, Tanin has worked to make much of his long-out-of-print oeuvre available on CD and his latest disc, "Natural Selection," is a retrospective of favorite tracks from his long career.

John Calarco -- also known as John Cee or Johnny C -- started drumming at age 10 when his uncle introduced him to jazz. It didn't take long for Calarco to move on to rock `n' roll, a genre that has served him well for two decades. Calarco's drummed with the Blue Man Group, Willy Porter, Greg Koch, Daryl Stuermer and more.

River Rhythms line-up finalized
