St. Patrick's Day Parade marches into Downtown March 10

The Shamrock Club of Wisconsin's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will set off on its march Saturday, March 11, beginning at noon and starting at Wisconsin Ave. and Old World Third St. before winding its way through Downtown.


St. James transformation plan includes a mixed-use tower

New petition says Bradley Center site should become a park

The members of DNA MKE, a group of residents and business owners in Downtown Milwaukee, believe the land upon which the Bradley Center currently stands should be converted to green space, including a dog park, once the building is torn down.


Downtown landmark church will close; transform into a wedding/events venue

St. James Episcopal Church, which has made its home at 833 W. Wisconsin Ave. since 1851, will close its doors at the end of this month. The building, which was put up for sale a few years ago is in the process of being sold. It will be transformed into a wedding and events venue.


Is a new beer garden coming to Pere Marquette Park?

There is a proposal to bring a beer garden back to Pere Marquette Park next year - between the Milwaukee River, Kilbourn Avenue and 3rd and State Streets - and an upcoming meeting will unveil details of the plan.
