Thanks to Mother Nature, Independence Day still isn't quite over, even three weeks after July 4. The Hart Park pyrotechnics - rescheduled due to rain - will be queued up to fire at 9:15 p.m. tonight after the scheduled Tosa Tonight concert wraps up on the bandshell near 68th and State Streets.

Despite the fact that it looks from the outside like nothing much has happened at Red Dot, 6715 W. North Ave., in East Tosa, since a fire shuttered it in early May, a post on the restaurant's Facebook suggests something is in the works. But what it is may not be simply cleaning up and reopening.
