It may seem curious to us now, but at the height of the Cold War, the Milwaukee area was ringed with defensive missile sites. One was in Cudahy, where three of the installation's buildings still stand and are currently home to the Kelly Senior Center.

Last July, The Metal Grill in Cudahy went cold, but there's new activity heating up at the former beloved rock bar: a DIY-oriented music, arts and entertainment venue, as well as a mini-arcade, in the space, located at 5036 S. Packard Ave.

The Metal Grill, a venue which has served up both raucous head-banging music, bacon-centric apps and burgers, closed abruptly on Friday. The venue's closing was announced on Facebook and has since been listed for sale.
