Milwaukee's been a leader in community building for years. Beer gardens. Yes, beer gardens. They were built by the Miller family and others to have large family gathering spaces and, of course, to showcase their products. Today, we all use them to gather, share ideas, forge relationships and build a better city.


Is a new beer garden coming to Pere Marquette Park?

There is a proposal to bring a beer garden back to Pere Marquette Park next year - between the Milwaukee River, Kilbourn Avenue and 3rd and State Streets - and an upcoming meeting will unveil details of the plan.


South Shore Terrace beer garden sets April 12 for opening

The South Shore Terrace beer garden - launched in 2015 by Milwaukee County Parks in partnership with MillerCoors - will crack open (depending on the weather) the start of beer garden season with an opening day celebration on Wednesday, April 12.
