Travelers will no longer get a taste of locally roasted Colectivo coffee when they visit the General Mitchell Airport thanks to the severing of an agreement with SSP America, which has operated three kiosks in the airport since 2009.

Airport unveils new service animal area

General Mitchell International Airport has installed an indoor Service Animal Relief Area with soft green synthetic grass made specially for dogs. The new area is separate but adjacent to the family restroom in the Concession Mall.

Abele announces new Milwaukee airport director

This morning, County Executive Chris Abele announced Terry Slaybaugh as the new airport director for Mitchell International Airport. Slaybaugh - currently running the airport in Dayton, Ohio - will replace Barry Bateman, who retired from the position back in April.
