Milwaukee on "Man v. Food Nation"

It looks like next Wednesday, Aug. 3, is the night the recently filmed Milwaukee episode of Travel Channel eat-athon "Man v. Food Nation" debuts at 8 p.m.

One of the stops on Adam Richman's Milwaukee visit last month was Red Rock Saloon, 1227 N. Water St.

Richman also spent time at the Milwaukee Public Market, one of Brew City's most telegenic culinary hot spots, and dined at Cubanitas.

35683 I was a production assistant on this show. Cubanitas wasn't one of the locations, some of the crew just ate dinner there because it was open after a late night of filming!

MAn v Food will feature Benji's, Martino's , Lakefront brewery, The Public Market and the UnForgiven challenge at The Red Rock Saloon. They filmed in June and the episode looks like a lot of fun. Milwaukee will be represented well on national TV.

34731 Cubanitas rocks! Amazing food. Awesome drinks. Why wouldn't he go there? When you consider the price, the food and the atmosphere -- Cubanitas is the BEST place on Milwaukee St.

Really Aarvark, Cubanitas? Subpar food at best. Oversalted and underseasoned entrees, limited menu, a basic, albeit decent Cuban, and terribly overrated plantains and guac. Plantains and guac? Not remotely authentic. Plantains are coated in salt. Conejitos, Kopps, La Merenda, Thai BBQ, Riviera Maya, Sanfords, Roots, Speed Queen, Il Mito, list list goes on.

34650 @caseydog I think that he just ate dinner there...they didn't film there. I don't know, Cubanitas has some pretty tasty food. It's definitely one of the first places I think about taking out-of-town visitors. Guac and chips, Cuban sandwich, empanadas...all delicious! Great ambiance and good mojitos too.
