Braun, Rodgers and SURG team up for new restaurant venture

The SURG Restaurant Group, Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers announced today they will be opening a new restaurant in Brookfield called 8*twelve (the numbers of both Braun and Rodgers).

This is Braun's second venture with SURG, which owns Ryan Braun's Graffito in Milwaukee.

Stay tuned! OnMilwaukee.com will have more in-depth look coming shortly at how the two friends - who also happen to be league Most Valuable Players - decided on the idea, and what it will have to offer.

8*twelve will be located at 17800 W. Bluemound Rd., with a planned opening in June.

I hope this restaurant works in that location. Nothing else seems to have survived that spot. Will try it but won't be a regular because I stay away from the Bluemound Racetrack as much as possible. Much luck on this venture.

If only this restaurant weren't proposed for the anonymous land of strip malls, chain restaurants, and faux-everything. Oh well...

Yeah that name needs to go. Got to have a little more creativity than that.

is that REALLY the best way to merge those 2 numbers? is it seriously necessary to spell out 12 to deter people from saying "one two"?
