The SURG Restaurant Group, Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers announced today they will be opening a new restaurant in Brookfield called 8*twelve (the numbers of both Braun and Rodgers).
This is Braun's second venture with SURG, which owns Ryan Braun's Graffito in Milwaukee.
Stay tuned! OnMilwaukee.com will have more in-depth look coming shortly at how the two friends - who also happen to be league Most Valuable Players - decided on the idea, and what it will have to offer.
8*twelve will be located at 17800 W. Bluemound Rd., with a planned opening in June.

I hope this restaurant works in that location. Nothing else seems to have survived that spot. Will try it but won't be a regular because I stay away from the Bluemound Racetrack as much as possible. Much luck on this venture.
What a joke! And I can't take anything surg does serious anymore.
If only this restaurant weren't proposed for the anonymous land of strip malls, chain restaurants, and faux-everything. Oh well...
Yeah that name needs to go. Got to have a little more creativity than that.

Tyler Thornburg has been pitching for the Milwaukee Brewers since 2012, but last year was to be his first as a full-time reliever. It was one year ago today that former Wisconsin Sen. Herb Kohl introduced Wes Edens and Marc Lasry to the city of Milwaukee as the new owners of the Bucks franchise. Jabari Parker hasn't played a game for the Milwaukee Bucks since Dec. 15, 2014, and he may not play another one until that date later this year. Or maybe slightly before. Or after. It's the great on-court unknown for the franchise. But what if he didn't get hurt? It's possible that his injury affected more than just the team - it could've swayed public sentiment regarding the arena.

Believe it or not, we are now closer to a decade removed from Tiger Woods' last major championship than we are to his last run of sustained dominance in the game. The greats, always, lose their edge and become shadows of what they were. But Woods' decline was so sudden, the game hasn't quite yet recovered.
