Less than a year after it celebrated its 10th birthday, East Side Italian eatery Sala da Pranzo, 2613 E. Hampshire St., has a new name, a new menu, a new decor and a new chef/partner.
Peter Balistreri, a recent Culinary Institute of America grad, joins his brother Tony in the kitchen at the new SALA â€“ the name has been shortened â€“ and there is a new silent co-owner behind the scenes.
The restaurant was remodeled in late spring and a new bar. At the same time a new menu â€“ with more appetizers and small plates â€“ was launched.
