10 great Beck samples

Even though it’s almost as rare as a solar eclipse, Beck is known to play an amazing show when he comes to Milwaukee or Chicago. Amazingly, he finds a way to replicate some of his great samples – those catchy loops that are an essential part of what made his early records so terrific –but live, in concert.

Pabst Theater PR Director Sara Peronto and I consider ourselves Beck super fans, so before Beck plays the Riverside Theater tonight at 7 p.m. – his first visit to Milwaukee since 1997 – we scoured his samples to come up with our favorites. We agreed on these.

1."Beercan" – sampled from the Care Bears' "I Feel So Alone" (0:21)
