Wu-Tang Clan will celebrate 25th anniversary with Riverside stop this August
The Pabst Theater Group announced early Tuesday evening that the legendary hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a tour stop at the Riverside Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
Twenty-five years ago, RZA, GZA, Method Man and the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan made their acclaimed debut with "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)," considered one of the most influential rap albums of all time. Since then, the pioneering group has simultaneously stuck together and pursued their own individual efforts (in the case of RZA, GZA, Method Man and Ghostface Killah, even moving into TV and film – both in front of the camera and behind it).
The group was also the focus of a recent documentary series, "Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men," which premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival and will make its public debut on Showtime this spring.
Tickets for the August show will go on sale beginning Friday, March 1, at 10 a.m. For more information, visit the Riverside Theatre's website.
