The Killers hit The Rave on Aug. 2
On Aug. 4, The Killers will take the Lollapolooza stage alongside fellow big names Chance the Rapper, Lorde, Muse, Arcade Fire and many, many more. For those hoping to creep an early peak at the alt-Americana rockers potential setlist, however, the band announced today that it will play The Rave on Wednesday, Aug. 2, barely 48 hours before its major Lolla appearance.
The band – led by frontman Brandon Flowers – hit it big back in 2004 with its debut album, "Hot Fuss," featuring hits like "Mr. Brightside," "Somebody Told Me," "All These Things That I've Done" and more. Since then, The Killers have bounced around different branches of the alternative rock genre, from anthemic arena Americana (2005's "Sam's Town" and 2012's "Battle Born") to more playful dance-pop (2008's "Day & Age"), gathering seven Grammy nominations in the process.
The group's fifth album, "Wonderful Wonderful," is expected later this year, with its first single, "The Man," released just last week.
Tickets for the 8 p.m. Eagles Ballroom show – presented by FM 102/1 – will go on sale starting this Friday. For more information on the concert and tickets, visit The Rave's website.
In the meantime, we look forward to The Killers coming out their cage to see if they're doing just fine.
