Jennifer Lopez confirmed to make Summerfest stop on July 3
Between a high-profile engagement to Alex Rodriguez and turning 50 this summer, it's set to be a big year for Jennifer Lopez. And you can add another big milestone to that list as she announced a North American tour – complete with her first-ever stop in Milwaukee thanks to a headliner gig at Summerfest on July 3, officially confirmed by the Big Gig today.
Lopez originally made the birthday tour announcement – her first tour since 2012 – during an appearance last month on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," complete with a full list of dates reported by People Magazine. (For those wondering, her birthday is in July ... but on the 24th, not the 3rd.) Today, however, the Big Gig confirmed the "It's My Party: The Live Celebration" Milwaukee tour stop.
How this slipped through the cracks – for a month! – we don't know. But now it's official – and better late than never, especially since Lopez marks the first solo female headliner to be announced thus far for the 2019 Big Gig. (Bluegrass singer Alison Krauss is one of several acts during the Outlaw Country Festival, while Julien Baker serves as an opener for Bon Iver.)
Tickets for this show will go on sale starting on Friday, March 29 at noon at Ticketmaster and Summerfest's website. Tickets can also be bought in person at the Summerfest box office, Ticketmaster ticket centers and select Walmart stores, as well as by phone at (800) 745-3000 for a live Ticketmaster Agent or (866) 448-7849 for the "Ticketmaster Express" automated phone line.
