State Fair announces first three headliners, including Brett Eldredge

The Wisconsin State Fair was busy today, announcing not one, not two, but three headliner acts for the upcoming 2019 festival: country star Brett Eldredge on Saturday, Aug. 3; the Happy Together tour on Sunday, Aug. 4; and Christian pop duo For King & Country on Monday, Aug. 5.

Eldredge is the big get among the three headliners announced this morning. Born just down south in Illinois, Eldredge began his solo country career in 2010 with his first single, "Raymond," and has skyrocketed since then, scoring five number one Billboard country songs ("Don't Ya," "Beat of the Music," "Mean to Me," "Lose My Mind" and "Wanna Be That Song") and several Academy of Country Music Awards. His most recent album was 2017's self-titled record, "Brett Eldredge."

Tickets for Eldredge's show – all general admission, with reserved seating beginning in the lower grandstand – will cost $35 and $45.

As for the other shows, the Happy Together tour's State Fair stop this year will include performances from The Turtles, Chuck Negron (formerly of Three Dog Night), Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Buckinghams, The Classics IV and The Cowsills, with reserved seating tickets costing $29 and $39. Meanwhile, For King & Country will make their return to State Fair (they also performed in 2017) along with opener Zach Williams at 7 p.m., with reserved tickets costing $29 and $39.

Tickets for all three shows (which include fair admission) go on sale Friday, Feb. 1 at 9 a.m. at and in person at the State Fair ticket office. The office, at 7722 W. Greenfield Ave. in West Allis, is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more summer festival announcements as they become available.
