Public House kicks off summer with a slate of great entertainment
Even though festival season is upon is the indoor music is still wafting from the stage at Riverwest Public House, 815 E. Locust St., in Riverwest in the coming weeks.
Support your local pub coop and start off your Memorial Day weekend right with Bon Iver saxophonist Nelson Devereaux, who plays a solo show Friday at 9 p.m., sharing the bill with Minneapolis' Cool Pollution and new band Nutritious and Delicious. Cover is $7.
From May 27 until June 3, Public House is one of the venues hosting the annual Riverwest FemFest, a community event and fundraiser in Riverwest celebrating strong, talented women in our community.
On Saturday, June 2, Brew City Bombshells bring their Love is Love Queerlesque show in celebration of Pridefest.
On Friday, June 8 Milwaukee's Fox Face and Hot Coffin play with New York's Geometers and Holler House from – wait, what?! – Minneapolis. Showtime is 9 p.m. and cover is a shockingly low $5.
Then on Sunday, June 10, Locust Street Festival takes over the neighborhood and Public House will have music all day on two stages – one indoors and one outside.
