A cappella powerhouse Pentatonix will play Fiserv Forum this summer
In what will almost assuredly be the first concert without instruments at Fiserv Forum, a cappella sensation Pentatonix will return to Milwaukee with a gig at the new arena on Tuesday, June 18. "Fight Song" singer Rachel Platten will serve as the night's opener.
Getting its start winning on the third season of NBC's singing competition "The Sing-Off," the Texas-based quintet exploded into popularity, putting out several best-selling albums – most recently its latest holiday record, "Christmas Is Here!," released last October – taking popular tours across the globe and scoring regular viral hits on YouTube with its covers of "Hallelujah," "Bohemian Rhapsody" and a mash-up of Daft Punk's biggest songs.
The band's covers have earned the group critical and industry acclaim, as well, winning three Grammys (Best Arrangement, Instrumental and A Cappella in 2015 and 2016, for the Daft Punk medley and "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy," respectively, as well as Best Country Duo/Group Performance in 2017 for "Jolene" featuring Dolly Parton).
Pentatonix last performed in Milwaukee in 2017, hitting the main stage at the Wisconsin State Fair.
Tickets for the show will go on sale on Friday, Feb. 15 at noon at Fiserv Forum's website. There will also be pre-sales for Patreon members and American Express card members running prior to tickets going on sale to the general public (Monday, Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. until Thursday, Feb. 14 at 10 p.m. for the Patreon presale; Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. until Thursday, Feb. 14 at 10 p.m. for the American Express pre-sale).
