Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are headed back to Brew City.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds returning to Miller High Life Theatre

Seeing Nick Cave with his then-band The Birthday Party is one of my more memorable concert experiences from a lifetime of gigs. And when Cave brought the Bad Seeds to the Miller High Life Theatre in 2014, it marked my kid's first concert.

So, I admit I was let down last week when Cave announced his 2020 tour and didn't see Milwaukee on the itinerary.

But, it turns out it was premature disappointment, as the band has snuck Milwaukee in the night before Chicago at the start of the tour and now Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will return to the Miller High Life Theatre, 500 W. Kilbourn Ave., on Friday, Sept. 18 for an 8:30 p.m. show.

The tour is in support of the 17th Bad Seeds record, "Ghosteen," released in October.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at the Miller High Life Theatre box office and Ticketmaster.com. American Express Card Members can purchase tickets at Ticketmaster.com before the general public from 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 through 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27.

Here's my review of the 2014 gig.

I'll see you there!
