Am Fam Amphitheater announces late-summer Maroon 5 show in Milwaukee

Summerfest has announced that Maroon 5 will headline the newly revamped American Family Insurance Amphitheater on Sunday, Aug. 30.

Meghan Trainor will open.

The Grammy-winning group fronted by Adam Levine will return to Milwaukee as part of the North American tour in support of its third studio record, "Treat Myself," due out on Jan. 31.

The first single from that record, "Memories," has already reached the Billboard Top 40. It is Maroon 5's first new music since the hit, "Girls Like You."

Tickets for the Milwaukee show go on sale to the public on Friday, Dec. 13, with pre-sales beginning on Monday, Dec. 9.

We're still waiting for Summerfest to begin announcing headliners for the 2020 festival. Last month, VP of entertainment Bob Babisch said some have already been booked and others are close. Announcements, he said, could begin coming before the end of the year.

The American Family Insurance Amphitheater is currently undergoing a second phase of improvements, due to be completed in time for the 2020 Big Gig.

Maroon 5 has performed here eight times since 2003.
