WATCH: A chat with the man behind GospelFest

Good Friday will be more like a great Friday this year in Milwaukee, as Fiserv Forum will host GospelFest – a celebration of music, community and soulful sound – on April 10.

But while Grammy winners Yolanda Adams and Hezekiah Walker currently serve as the event's headliners, the true star of the show will be the stage full of local gospel choirs and soulful singers taking the stage and uniting the crowd in beautiful music. To find those special performers, Emmy-winning producer and director and GospelFest leader A. Curtis Farrow will preside over open auditions at Fiserv Forum on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

To learn more about what he's looking for at the auditions, what GospelFest means to him and what music lovers can expect from the concert event, we sat down with Farrow on Friday afternoon for a Facebook Live interview. Come for the GospelFest info, stay for our inspirational new slogan for the city of Milwaukee!

For more information on auditions and GospelFest, visit Fiserv Forum's website or the auditions' Facebook event page.
