The Black Keys will play Fiserv Forum in October

While maybe it's not a hiatus as long as Lionel Richie or Jennifer Lopez, but after half a decade away from the spotlight, the Black Keys will also make its return to Milwaukee, coming to Fiserv Forum on Friday, Oct. 4 with special guest Modest Mouse.

The announcement comes on the heels of the Akron-born blues rockers' newly released single, "Lo/Hi," the first sign of new music from the duo since 2014's "Turn Blue."

Before that album, the Black Keys had grown into one of the most popular rock acts in the country, scoring hit albums with 2010's "Brothers" and "El Camino" released the following year. During this time, the band also snagged five Grammy wins, including Best Alternative Music Album in 2011 for "Brothers," both Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song in 2013 for the duo's monster single "Lonely Boy," and Best Rock Album in the same year for "El Camino."

Tickets for the show will go on sale beginning Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. at the Fiserv Forum's website. There will also, however, be a Verified Fan resale running on Tuesday, March 19 at 10 a.m. through Thursday, March 21 at 10 p.m. for fans who register here and receive a code. In addition Citi card members will be able to order tickets early through Citi's Private Pass program starting Tuesday, March 19 at 11 a.m. through Thursday, March 21 at 10 p.m. For more information on that particular deal, visit the Citi Private Pass website.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more concert and festival announcements when they are announced.
