Brewers announce Billy Joel will play Miller Park on April 26
After brief speculation and much snooping, the Brewers announced this morning that its major concert announcement is, indeed, Billy Joel, who will play Miller Park on Friday, April 26.
The official announcement was made Thursday morning at Miller Park with Brewers manager Craig Counsell, Live Nation president Jason Wright and Brewers COO Rick Schlesinger speaking about the show, as well as their memories of Joel's greatest hits. (Counsell also lamented that he will be, ironically enough, in New York with the team for a road series against the Mets, at whose home games "Piano Man" is a popular crowd singalong.)
Joel's most recent trip to Wisconsin was also for a stadium show, performing at Lambeau Field in Green Bay back in 2017. His last trip to Milwaukee, however, was back in 2008 when he played the then-Bradley Center.
The Miller Park concert marks Joel's only currently planned show in the Midwest in 2019.
Tickets for Billy Joel will go on sale beginning Friday, Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com as well as by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. For more information, visit Brewers.com/BillyJoel.
