William Shatner will beam to the Riverside for a screening of "Wrath of Khan"
Set your phasers to stun this winter, as Captain James T. Kirk himself (that is, the OG Captain Kirk not J.J. Abrams' Captain Kirk), William Shatner, will come to Milwaukee's Riverside Theater on Saturday, March 24, for a special screening of "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan."
The 7:30 p.m. show will start with the beloved 1982 sci-fi hit on the big screen, followed by a live conversation with Shatner sharing stories about his time on the original TV program, working on the franchise's classic movies and the rest of his notable career in show business, as well as taking questions from the audience.
Milwaukee and the Riverside are no strange new worlds for Shatner. The "Star Trek" veteran brought his one-man show "Shatner's World: We Just Live In It" to the theater back in 2012, while the Milwaukee Ballet commissioned a ballet in 2007, "Common People," based on the actor's 2004 spoken-word album, "Has Been" – which also turned into a behind-the-scenes documentary, "William Shatner's Gonzo Ballet." And then there's his commercials with local law firm Hupy and Abraham.
Tickets for the event go on sale beginning on Friday, Jan. 12, at noon, starting at $49 (plus applicable service fees). A limited number of VIP tickets will also be available, featuring premium seating and a photo opportunity with Captain Kirk. For more information, visit the Riverside's website.
