Familiar faces are once again leaving the Big Red Streaming Monolith next month.

Everything leaving Netflix in August 2020

Bad boys, bad boys; whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when the rights holders of the first two movies come for you?

Leave Netflix next month, as it turns out – and those two blockbusters are far from the only ones jetting off the Big Red Streaming Monolith in August.

What's scarier than Candyman or Chucky? The fact that you'll have to find those two horror classics elsewhere starting next month. Hockey may be returning, but the cult comedy hit "Goon" will not be on the ice much longer. And I hope you enjoyed your two months of "Clueless," as well as the entire 30 days of "The Karate Kid," because those retro favorites – along with fellow throwback classics "Groundhog Day" and "Jerry Maguire" – will all get the axe as well.

I do love our current streaming existence, where movies can and go off streaming services after a whole 60 days, often times for no reason considering the studio that runs the streaming service also owns the films themselves. It's as if we've created a world where every studio now essentially has a "Disney vault."

Anyways, stay safe and stay inside by watching this list of the movies and TV shows leaving Netflix in August.
