In Movies & TV

There's not much time left for these movies on Netflix - but thankfully, you've got a lot of time to kill.

Everything leaving Netflix in April 2020

It's never a good time for Netflix to lose movies and television shows – but considering we're all stuck inside social distancing and desperate for entertainment, now couldn't be worse.

Bad news: A lot of great films are going on spring break from the Big Red Streaming Monolith in April. If you read my list of 100 movies to watch while stuck at home quarantining, a lot of these names will sound familiar – from award winners ("Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," "Goodfellas") to cult classics ("Blade Runner," "Shawshank Redemption") to old-school gems ("Dirty Harry") and nostalgic hits ("Space Jam," "A Little Princess").

The good news: Netflix's list of fresh arrivals in April will hopefully replace these winners with some other favorites – and I'll update that Netflix streaming recs list accordingly. The even better news? It's not like you've got anything else to do these days – so you've got plenty of time to catch these movies and TV shows before they're gone.
