In Movies & TV

Several of your favorite TV shows and movies are leaving Netflix next month.

Everything leaving Netflix in June 2020

Netflix's list of departures for May was pretty kind, all things considered. As for the newly announced one for June? I'm sad to report it's far less summery.

As to be expected with HBO Max and Peacock joining the fray shortly, the Big Red Streaming Monolith is taking some significant cuts from just about everywhere – and that's not even mentioning that Disney+ still exists and is still taking back its movies, such as "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Tarzan." Need some screen scares to take you away from the scary news of the day? "Tremors," "The Ring" and "Cloverfield" are all screaming off the service. Catching up with Oscar favorites? Better get through Best Picture winners and nominees like "The King's Speech," "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," "Elizabeth" and "Philadelphia" while you still can. Looking for big action blockbusters to binge? "Minority Report," "Inception," "Mask of Zorro" and "Equilibrium" are all waving bye. And speaking of binges, you best drink up "Mad Men" and "Cheers" before it's closing time for them in June too.

Another loss: "The Matrix" trilogy, which will unplug from Netflix in June after just being added this past April ... after it had just been removed this past February ... after it had just been added this past November ... after it had just been removed this past July ... after it had just been added last May. My brain hurts – and speaking of things that'll boggle your brain, apparently there's a show called "The Day My Butt Went Psycho." And it ran for two seasons! Anyways, that's gone too ... not that you probably knew it was there in the first place.
