Joel Hodgson will bring his farewell live tour to Milwaukee in November.

"MST3K" will bring Joel Hodgson's final live tour to Milwaukee this fall

If you're a movie buff – especially one from the Midwest – your film fandom owes a lot to the droll comedic delights of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" and original creator and host Joel Hodgson. So what better way to pay your respects than to witness one of Hodgson's last live shows in his Joel Robinson jumpsuit, as "Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live: The Great Cheesy Movie Circus Tour" will bring his victory lap to the Miller High Life Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 2.

In case giving a low-key cinema icon – joined as always by his robotic compatriots Tom Servo, Crow and Gypsy – a fitting final live ovation isn't enough, there will of course also be a new movie for them to lovingly mock: the 1986 martial arts actioner "No Retreat, No Surrender," featuring the ghost of Bruce Lee and a Hollywood newcomer named Jean-Claude Van Damme.

"This is our third national tour, and it's bigger than the first two combined," said Hodgson, in a press release. "I really wanted to do something special since it's my farewell tour with MST3K Live. Also, Tom, Crow and Gypsy have become such great live performers, I decided to give them the ultimate challenge: a movie riffing robot circus!"

Tickets for the show go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 14 at Ticketmaster and the Miller High Life Theatre box office, found at 500 W. Kilbourn Ave. Prices range from $33, $48 and $68.
