Adopt a senior pet for free during November
When adopting a dogs, most people want a puppy. Because of this, there are millions of senior shelter animals without a forever home.
But pet food brand Stella & Chewy's is doing something about it. Today it announced the company's pledge to cover the cost of adoption fees for senior pets rescued from any shelter in the U.S. during the month of November in honor of National Adopt a Senior Pet Month. Senior pets are identified as dogs and cats age 4 and older.
Once adopted, new pet caregivers van visit stellaadchewys.com to submit their forms for reimbursement. Applicable senior pet parents will also receive a month's worth of free Stella & Chewy's food.
Through this initiative, Stella & Chewy's hopes to spotlight the many benefits of rescuing a senior pet that include unconditional love, already house trained, chill in personality and more attentive in general.
"Stella & Chewy's has long placed a focus on senior pet adoption, but this year we wanted to do something extra special to support this important cause, and what better time to do so than National Adopt a Senior Pet Month?" says Marie Moody, founder of Stella & Chewy's.
