The Milwaukee Maze opens today

Milwaukee, we have a maze and it's not made of corn.

The Milwaukee Maze, which opens today in West Allis' McCarty Park, is a 10,000-foot wooden maze that was created by a local couple, Matthew and Krizty Zaccone. The cost is $10 per person and takes anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour to get through it.

The goal is to discover four hidden flags and then find a way out as quickly as possible. The maze will be regularly reconfigured so people can't memorize the pattern. The Milwaukee Maze will be open all summer. It will close briefly in September and reopen as a Haunted Maze in October. It might open again for Christmas.

Maze hours are Wednesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. McCarty Park is located at 8214 W. Cleveland Ave.

Stay tuned for a Facebook Live with the OnMilwaukee staff attempting to navigate the maze.
