Children can explore the workings of the human body, learn about economics and commerce, create their own toys and even produce their own television show. There is also the "play port" for toddlers ages three and under.
Group tours are welcome with advance reservations.
Be A Maker: LED Card Making Workshop
Join us at the Betty Brinn Museum for our facilitated workshop, LED Card Making. Workshop participants will learn the basics of LED technology and make one-of-a-kind artwork. Museum admission is not included in the workshop fee. Workshop start times are flexible. Registered guests can stop in anytime between 12-2 p.m. in our Be A Maker space to participate. Recommended for children age 4 and older.
Milwaukee Museum Member Swap Day
On Milwaukee Museum Member Swap Day, select Milwaukee Museum members can show their current membership card and receive free reciprocal admission at these participating organizations: the Betty Brinn Museum, Charles Allis Art Museum, Grohmann Museum, Milwaukee Art Museum, Milwaukee Public Museum, Pabst Mansion and Villa Terrace Art Museum. Participating organizations are listed above, members must have current memberships with one or more of the participating organization. Please check each venue for hours of operation and visitor information.
Hearts and Hoops Valentine Celebration
Join us at the Betty Brinn Museum for our Hearts and Hoops Valentine celebration! Bring the whole family for fun activities to celebrate love and friendship. Hoop for your heart, create personalized valentine cards, and help us make a Friends and Family quilt in the Be A Maker space.
Girl Scout Under Night at the Betty Brinn Museum
Join us for a Girl Scout Under Night at the Betty Brinn Museum! Girl Scouts will work on requirements for the Daisy Model Car Design Challenge Badge or Brownie Race Car Design Challenge Badge. Scouts can also explore Museum exhibits and enjoy a pizza dinner. An adult must accompany registered Scouts and may accompany up to 5 Scouts. Preregistration is required for this event.
Sendik's Day at the Betty Brinn Museum
On Sendik’s Day, visitors to the Museum can explore fun, hands-on exhibits like the pretend Sendik’s Food Market in Home Town, Pocket Park, Science CITY and Word Headquarters and participate in project-based learning activities in the Be A Maker space.
