The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds celebrate their 60th anniversary this year.

Milwaukee Air & Water Show announces dates and headliner

The Milwaukee Air & Water Show will take place this year on the weekend of Aug. 3-4, it was announced today.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds – who are celebrating their 60th anniversary in 2013 – will headline the show.

The air show practice date is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 2.

Other military acts to appear in the show will be the AV-8B Sea Harrier, U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer, 128th Air Refueling Wing KC-135, C-130 Hercules and more.

Civilian acts include the GEICO Aerial Skytypers T-6 Team, AeroStars Aerobatic Team, Michael Goulian Airshows, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University featuring Matt Chapman, the Red Bull Aerobatic Helicopter and more.
