The Diplomac is back (and more) as The Diplomat returns for curbside pick-up

It's been over three months since Milwaukee diners have been able to enjoy the well-executed dishes Chef Dane Baldwin and his team at The Diplomat, 815 E. Brady St.

But, after a soft run this past weekend (and just in time for the holiday weekend), the Brady Street restaurant is back for curbside dinner pick-up Wednesday through Saturday, offering up a menu of items that hold up well to carry-out.

That includes crowd favorites like The Diplomac, a prime beef burger topped with tomato, lettuce, american cheese, '1000' island dressing, pickles and red onion ($14 or $17 with house fries).

But it also includes a slate of new items, from seasonal asparagus salad with tarragon aioli, snow crab, cured egg yolk and Sarvecchio cheese crisps ($16) and peach salad with arugula, fried chickpeas, demi sec thai chilis and tahini dressing ($14) to sandwiches like the Cuban with roasted pork, ham, fontina cheese, pickle and dijon sauce ($13) and a beet sandwich with roasted beets, pickled beets, scarlett frills, pickled shallots, shiso and roasted garlic labneh ($10).

There are also beef and chicken pot pies ($13 or $15); smoked chicken with toasted sourdough and potato gribiche ($21), plus desserts like peanut butter pie and peach and banana cake. Guests can also add a bottle or two of wine or sparkling water to their orders.

Keep an eye on the Diplomat's social media channels as well for menu updates, as well as an announcement about patio seating, which is coming soon.

The Diplomac is open for online ordering and curbside pick-up Wednesday through Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m.
