Get refreshed during Milwaukee Downtown's Taste & Toast.

Downtown's biggest happy hour event starts today with Taste & Toast

Get your chompers and sippers ready. It's time for the second annual Taste & Toast, a happy hour extravaganza celebrating some of Milwaukee's best Downtown spots.

From Feb. 25 through March 1, diners can enjoy specially priced small plates, appetizers, cocktails and mocktails from 4 to 7 p.m. at a variety of Downtown restaurants.

Menus are currently posted at tastetoastmke.com, but guests can expect to see clever twists on drinks like martinis and the classic Old Fashioned. Restaurants will also roll out creative sliders, wings and a variety of delicious vegetarian dishes.

Participating restaurants include Blu, Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria, The Brown Bottle, Cantina, Carson's Prime Steaks & Famous Barbeque, Cubanitas, DOC's Commerce Smokehouse, East Town Kitchen & Bar, Flannery's, Harbor House, The Garden Grille & Bar, The Loaded Slate, Monarch Lounge, Oak & Shield Gaming Pub, Oak Barrel Public House, Onesto, Pastiche at the Metro, Pier 106 Seafood Tavern, The Rumpus Room, SafeHouse, Smoke Shack, SportClub, Tavern at Turner Hall and Who's on Third.

Milwaukee Downtown will also award $300 in dining gift certificates to two lucky winners. To enter, just visit one or more of the participating restaurants during Taste & Toast and complete a survey at before March 6. At the conclusion of the event, a random drawing will select the winners.

Taste & Toast is a prelude to Downtown Dining Week, which will return May 30-June 6.
